Scrapbook fun

I had fun trying to help Joyce Lawrence ID a walkie she scanned for the project recently. It was taken of her Grandmother Doris as a young girl in Britain some time before 1923. We knew this as Doris emigrated to America that year (and we assume took the photo with her). Sadly the location didn’t match anything else I have seen so far, but the car in the shot was registered in Wales, which might help pin it down. It is also clearly from a pair or strip of images, though Joyce doesn’t know what happened to the rest of the frames. Anyhow, Joyce was working on a scrapbook cover for a local art project called ‘Things Remembered’ and used the image as part of this, which I’ll show here (and in case you wondered the assemblage is proper old school craft too, not a Photoshopped creation!).
