Gordon Honeycombe was well known as a news reader for ITN from 1965 until 1977. A large amount of his family photographs have been archived on the internet and I stumbled across these while researching the Scottish holiday resort of Rothesay. This was a popular destination for people from Scotland and the nearest big city Glasgow, and consequently Walking Picture cameramen were there for many years. One set of pictures from there I was loaned dated from the 1930s to the 1970s, all taken over the years on the main street. Honeycombe was snapped twice on the same trip there in 1951 as a very tall 15 year old (he was educated in Edinburgh), I assume with his parents (attempts to get a response from his website have failed!).
